Windows snipping tool is a small but powerful tool, despite
very small you can use it for some heavy lifting. It is not
as powerful as Snagit, but if has some very useful options
which allows different types of screen capturing. You have
four types of snipping options available to you for screen
capturing.
With the Snipping tool you have a couple of snipping
options to choose from when you want to make a screenshot of
the screen. The first one is the Free-form Snip: This is
useful if you want to capture irregular area of an object.
You can draw an irregular line, a circle or a triangle
around the object. Rectangular Snip: Draw a precise line by
dragging the cursor around an object to form a rectangle.
Window Snip: This allows you to select a window, such as a
browser window or dialog box that you want to capture.
Full-screen Snip: This option will allow you to capture the
entire screen. The larger your screen the larger your image
will be. You have to be careful when snipping a high
resolution screen as this could easily get out of hand.
Snipping Tool Stages: The following stages are necessary
with the snipping tool to capture a screen:
1.Start the snipping tool
2.Choose the type of snip you want
3.Take the snip
After the snipe is taken, the image is sent to the Snipping
tool editor. The editor lets you perform some rudimentary
editing of the image such as pen tool, highlighter tool and
eraser tool. When you are happy with the snip you can send
it in an email as an embedded image or an attachment by
clicking the mail icon or clicking on the File menu and then
Send To. Alternatively, you can just save it for future use
or to be used with your future project. By chosen to save
the project as; you can save to some of the most popular
image format such as JPG, GIF, PNG, or Single File HTML
(MHT). If you haven’t yet maybe it is time to give the
snipping tool s try.
